Avid Bioservices® recognizes that many potential customers have recombinant Cell Lines adapted to serum containing medium. Often these cells require adaptation when going into serum free medium culture.

Our cell culture group is experienced in weaning cells off serum and adapting them to either serum free or non-mammalian origin chemically defined formulations. It should be noted that yield and glycosylation patterns might be adversely altered when removing cells from serum containing medium. If your cells are currently adapted to serum containing medium we highly recommend this adaptation process followed up by process characterization and optimization.
