The cGMP stirred tank bioreactors used at Avid Bioservices are computer controlled which allows us to monitor and maintain key growth and productivity parameters throughout the run. Once a run is completed, the system can store or print this documentation for inclusion in the batch record.
Our state-of-the-art bioreactors were specifically designed for mammalian cell culture, not converted microbial systems. Our conveniently sized units have maximum working volumes of: 100L | B. Braun | 300L | B. Braun | 1,000L | B. Braun |
Our Water for Injection (WFI) is provided in-house via a Finn/Aqua RO/DI system which provides treated water to a Finn/Aqua Multi-Effect Still feeding into a stainless steel system composed of a 3,600L SS storage tank and is continuously circulated through a loop with strategically placed drop points and the loop temperature is maintained at >80°C. The RO/DI system feeds the clean steam generator that in turn feeds steam to the bioreactors for sterilization and temperature control. The WFI is used for many purposes including: reconstitution of powder cell culture media, cleaning of equipment and for processes related to bioreactors and the purification stream.
